ABOUT ME
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who has worked with people of all ages since completing my graduate education in 1991. I have a tremendous passion for my work and feel fortunate to help people meet their goals and pursue their dreams.
I have a diverse professional background including working in medical settings, schools, in advocacy programs, in senior services, on a telephone crisis line and in family therapy programs. My experience and training has provided me with expertise in working with a wide range of issues and clinical modalities. In addition to therapeutic support, I have expertise in ADHD coaching services including understanding issues of sustained attention, organization, planning, task initiation and other executive functioning challenges. I have also worked with athletes who would like to optimize their athletic performance.
I am a Washington State approved Clinical Supervisor and enjoy providing supervision and consultation for associates level clinicians and graduate student interns. I also provide in-service training, consultation and expertise to schools, non profit agencies and clinical teams to advance their knowledge of a variety of topics.
I am a long standing member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and was appointed a member of the Committee on Children, Adolescents and Young Adults (CAYA). I also am a member of CHADD ( National organization for Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) and the Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA) . I have published articles for practitioners on a variety of topics to further their practice.
Outside of my work, I enjoy running, swimming, photography, knitting, reading and music. Originally from New York, I moved to the Northwest in 1999. I love being outside in all kinds of weather and am always looking for rainbows.
